If you've taken a look at Who We Are, you know our history began in Thurston County, Washington. This county holds a special place in our hearts and their commitment to the work of Help Us Move In supports a distinct program.  The community donates $60,000 and Help Us Move In matches it, offering Thurston County service providers Matching Grants, which generate $240,000 each year.

All contributions in Thurston County are matched by HUMI and remain in Thurston County to assist families and youth with stable housing and utilities. The agencies with HUMI Grants provide case management and other resources to support sustainable housing. A monthly expenditure report from each Grantee guarantees accountability and quarterly meetings with the HUMI Thurston County Board encourages collaboration between the service providers.
