To Whom It May Concern:

Being a single mom of six has its struggles. My family and I are very grateful for the assistance we have received through the hand up program. This program is a great blessing, sent exactly when we needed it most. Thank  you.

Dear Helping Hands,

I want to say THANK YOU!! My family's life has changed because of your help. I was able to start my new job without worries of where my children will go or sleep at night. Before your help we were in a hotel for 2 months and when the money was gone, we were homeless.

It has now been almost 2 months since receiving your help. I am doing wonderful at my job. My children are thriving in school, they are happier and healthier since moving into our new home.

I just wanted to say thank you for your help because without your help I wouldn't have been able to have a roof over our heads, a home for my children to grow and have a normal, stress free childhood. Your program really helps families in their time of need. I can't tell you enough from the bottom of my heart, "THANK YOU AGAIN!!"

PLEASE keep up the great work helping families in Brevard.

Back on September 26th 2017, my daughter at the age of 21, overdosed on an unknown drug. She was in the ICU at Palm Bay Community Hospital on life support for 5 days. She was hospitalized for over 6 weeks while she recovered.

On September 28th 2017 there was an emergency placement hearing at the Viera Court House. I had a 3 month old grandson belonging to my daughter. Come to find out his father had been arrested that same morning. I was given temporary custody at that point. He is now 17 months old and has been with me this whole time.

On July 5th 2018 my aunt passed away in Braderton. My 66 year old mother was at an assisted living facility with her therefore she had to make other living arrangements after she was gone.

So at this point I had been living in a one bedroom apartment with me and my son that was 18 years old now. So after acquiring my grandson & mother it was imperative to move to a larger place. We looked for a 3 bedroom 2 bath for about two months with no luck. Mid July a team was formed with Brevard Family Partnership to assist and help organize getting moved. About ready to give up completely we found places in a weeks time. One on Facebook Marketplace and the other thru a friend at work. Her former landlady was renting her own place out since they bought a new house. As a family we chose the latter. It is a 3 bedroom one batch with large back porch, yard and carport.

The best part was it was in Rockledge only 5 minutes from work. Needless to say It's perfect with the combined help of everyone we got it. We moved in on September 1st 2018. We fell in love right away and are settling nicely.

Foremost I want to say Thank You on behalf of my entire family. With out this help & God's blessings we would be in a very tough spot.
